About
I work on the problem of the external world, theories of perceptual knowledge, theories of perceptual experience, theories of reference, and in general our conceptual and perceptual engagement with the world around us. In general, I work in the areas and intersections of epistemology, metaphysics, and mind.
I am also interested in theories of meaning and reference (esp. demonstrative reference), realism and anti-realism in metaphysics, and more generally the relationship between the mind and the world.
In August 2006, I began an Honors Bachelor of Arts at Virginia Commonwealth, where I was a member of the Honors College. I completed the degree in December 2009.
Between September 2008 and June 2009, I was a Visiting Student at the University of Edinburgh, doing Honors Philosophy.
I am currently a Philosophy Career Development Scholar at the University of Edinburgh, working on a PhD in Philosophy. I began the degree in January 2010.
I was a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, working under the supervision of Professor Barry Stroud in the autumn of 2011.
