About

A graduate of the University of Dundee (MA (Hons) Modern History) and University College London (MA Archives and Records Management), I joined the staff of the University of Edinburgh as a project archivist in 2001, working initially on the NAHSTE project ( http://www.nahste.ac.uk/ ).

In 2004 I was appointed to the new post of Deputy University Archivist.  My main responsibility is for the operational end of University Archives but am also involved in other areas of management within Special Collections (within the Centre for Research Collections, http://www/lib.ed.ac.uk/crc/ ).

My interests focus on archives and records, particularly in the area of metadata and collections management.  I also have a strong interest in archival ethics and the role of the archivist in society.
