About
Jacqueline Spicer is a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh. Her research investigates cosmetics culture in Renaissance Italy (circa 1450-1520). She has done previous work on translation and contextualization of Caterina Sforza's 'Gli Experimenti', and is currently looking at how cosmetic recipes and practice fit into dialogues of gender, sex, and health.
Jacqueline previously received BA degrees in Anthropology and Studio Art from the State University of New York at Buffalo (2009) and an MSc by Research in History of Art from the University of Edinburgh (2010).
