About
The centre of gravity around which my research revolves is the writings of northern Britain in the period c.650-c.750, and the political, intellectual and social currents and forces that they reflect and encapsulate. A number of satellite interests orbit around this central one, including political thought, political geography, ethnic identies and discourses, and social history focused on Scotland but taking in neighbouring regions.
