About

I started my PhD with Andy Clark in January 2007. I am interested in exactly what role the body plays in cognition. I approach the topic via the neuroscience of emotion with particular focus on dynamical accounts of emotion and cognition. I have a particular interest in self-organization.

My background is in analytic philosophy and cognitive science but I am starting to develop an interest in phenomenology and dynamical systems accounts of cognition and consciousness.

This autumn (2008) I am a visiting research student at the University of Toronto, supervised by Evan Thompson.
