About
I am currently a second-year PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, working on fiction continuations (sequels) and ideas of authorship in the 17th and early 18th centuries - from the publication of Philip Sidney's "Arcadia" to Samuel Richardson's "Pamela". As well as the texts themselves, my work focuses on their paratexts, publishing history, and reception.
I previously completed my MA (Hons) in English Literature at Edinburgh and an MPhil in Medieval and Renaissance Literature at the University of Cambridge, where my dissertation focused on the commendatory verses to the 1647 folio of Beaumont and Fletcher. My broader research interests include intertextuality, intellectual property, fan studies, and genre.
I work as a tutorial assistant in the department (English Literature 1), and serve as a peer reviewer for Forum and reader for the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
