I'm a political scientest, mainly interested in Africa. I have a longstanding interest in state-society relations, and the ways in which societal groups frame their political discourses, which leads me into questions of culture, images, and religious thought, as well as nationalism and state-formation in Zimbabwe and Eritrea. At the same time, I'm interested in urban politics, particularly in Zimbabwe.
