MSc thesis hypothesis:
Following from current theories about the embodiment of emotion I propose that the way external factors contribute to an individual’s emotions can be described in terms of cognitive coupling in a similar, although not identical way that the extended mind thesis suggests about embodied cognitive processes.
The aim is therefore to develop an explanatory framework that provides a more inclusive account of externally influenced emotional aspects in panic disorder patients, as well as suggest possible ways of testing the framework empirically.
